Accompaniments?

Hello England and world from a small town in Southern Oregon U.S.A !  What fun to discover classic banjo, even 100 or so years late.

The only piece I've worked on much so far is Colorado Buck Dance, but I've printed some others and slowly gone through them.

Question: are some of these supposed to be accompanied solos?  Some sound quite complete with just the banjo, while others seem as if they could use even a simple boom-chick background.

After a bit more looking, I think I partially answered my own question.  I see that some pieces include piano accompaniment.  I quest I am wondering about the pieces which do not include accompaniment.  Was it just not available to include?

Most (but not all) of this period's music was available with a 2nd banjo part or a piano accompaniment. Generally the published stuff would have arrangements for "Solo", "Duet" or "Orchestra".

If you have a piece that you can't find a 2nd or Piano to, best thing to do is to post your need here. Somebody will probably have what you want!

Thank you!  That is what I was guessing was the case.  I also play classical guitar, so was thinking of writing accompaniments using it.  If I do, I'd post them.
