Hi banjo ‘ friends ; this one will be the last …………...........................................................................;;;of the year .

I have hesitated before to post it ; because of the machine , i cannot slow down the tempo of some parts like i would like to do .

I play on my CE special custom  . This is a mix from the original  ‘score   and from an old cylinder version i have ( i believe by Olly Oakley , but not sure )

Hi Marc, that was great, especially with the backing track ( second part ).

Thx Shawn , i went  to Toronto  in 1986 ; it ' s a beautiful city .

I notice that sir arthur Sullivan is mentioned in the Cammeyer ' dedicaced book which was for sale on ebay . Do you think he  's the same as the author of this tune ?

Hi Marc;  I know Sir Arthur Sullivan was a key influence on Cammeyer, encouraging him to pursue his distinctive style of composing for banjo.

I read somewhere that the composer of Toronto Jig is not the same Arthur Sullivan. I don't know how reliable that source was. So I think further research is necessary to be sure one way or the other.
