It would seem that the lighting makes me look as if I had ascended into BANJOHEAVEN; fear not, though, for the reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Having finally healed my index finger and finished refurbing the old Dallas, here I am, butchering Frank Lawes' Syncopatin' Shuffle. Please forgive my mistakes, I only retook banjo playing a few days ago after a month of forced inactivity and I'm a bit rusty.

Hey Mike,   I said it was hard!  Some of Frank Lawes' pieces really do put up a fight :-)

I noticed the  time shift at 1.27. I blame the aliens!   I see you are using bass solo from my manuscript. It works much better than a straight repeat don't you think?   Excellent performance particularly with your digital disability.

Thank you for posting.

It is good to see you back!

Indeed! Somewhere around 1.27, I was abducted by aliens (probably the same ones who abducted me in Ad Astra, not sure...) who brought me to their leader. When he asked me what I did on planet Earth, I answered that I was a banjoist, whereupon I was jettisoned from the starcraft!

I really like the bass solo as well, though it does have a few long stretches! I also altered the way I played a few other passages to make it a bit more like the version William Ball plays in the Humoresque CD.
