If you keep the rhythms of the first part but play different notes you get something close to Sunflower Dance. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

Yeah, the first part definitely sounds similar to "Sunflower Dance". The ABF magazine had an article 2 yrs ago basically noting all the similar pieces that precede the Rowland publication (which we all generally play as "Sunflower Dance"). It was originally called "With The Tide Schottische"...
