Here 's a beautiful & easy 6/8 march by the great A J Weidt . I made a piano arrangment for it ( posted via email to Ian _ i guess he 's gonna add it to the library ) ; it 's a simple one inspired by the 2nd Bj ' part and for the LH , from my cello part when we used to play it live with the " non moins " great éric S ;
i also posted the midi file ; will be available in the library
Thank you Marc.
What a great a catchy march that is. The A J Weidt compositions are certainly under appreciated as he did produce some great classic style tunes.
I have added the score that you set me to the MUSIC LIBRARY and for those who would like to play along, Marc has sent a piano accompaniment as downloadable midi file:
Whoa! the first part of this tune is very close to the second part of "The Squirrel In The Tree", an Eastern Canadian jig played in the Maritime provinces.
Salut Marcassin ! Belle prestation, ça me rappelle de bons souvenirs !
Bravo !
Hello Marcassin ! Good music, a good memories came to my mind when i heard it ! Great !
Excellent Marc! This is one of the first pieces I learned in the classic style. It is a lot of fun to play. I'll send Tab to Ian (I believe I have 1st and 2nd banjo).
Hal Allert's CD, "The New Criterion Banjo Orchestra" has a great version on it.
What a sweet tune - really enjoyed hearing this, thanks.
Delightful piece and performance, Marc!
A wonderful March , and well played . Keep them coming Marc.
