Excellent! Bravo!! Very well played and a delight to see. Yes, that was a first for me too. The bassoon sounds great!

Bravo! Well played. The bassoon is a perfect fit. I've gotten a similar sound from a nylon strung old Vega guitar-banjo. For years I've been calling it a "string tuba" but now I think "string bassoon" is more apt.

This Kansan thanks you all very much. What a great tune, great arrangement, and fantastic playing!!

Count me for a standing ovation! What a perfect trio. On the old cylinders I thought I had heard a tuba tooting away, this makes me rethink it.

That's the best thing I've heard in a while. What a great combination. Please stay with that sound. This is what is needed to breathe new life into Classic Banjo, someone who is prepared to experiment and take a chance, without overpowering the banjos. Croisants and Coffee all round.

the cello_player is now lead _player and searching for a cello player .
To éric : c ' est la belle hautbois dormant ? (dormant de la porte à droite bien sur ) ou la belle au basson hermant ?

If anyone would like to play along with this superb performance, I have posted the Herbert Ellis sheet music to download in pdf. format here:

I hope Patricia, Eric and Isabelle don't mind me stumbling along just slightly behind them :)
