Congratulations, Ian. Grace and Beauty is one of my faves, and one I haven't been brave enough to try myself.
Thanks German.. soon you will be playing pieces like this, so we hope that your good lady will be back with you soon to help!
Jody, it is a thank "you" for the score that you sent me years ago. I have Photoshopped a few fingering changes into the score that is available in the MUSIC LIBRARY as they were not as Van Eps played and make it play a lot easier.
Do have a go at playing it.. I would love to hear it played correctly ;-)
A really good performance and so professional, it reminds me of when Farland used to play for Grandpa and Grandma at the big house, that was before the silver mine shares were found to be worthless and the family had t0 sell up. The horses were the first to go, followed by the paintings and the silver; I can still see poor old Nanny crying, as Grandfather gave her her cards on the back stairs. Ah! Those were the days, beer at tuppence a pint and a good steak cost sixpence, and a seat at the (that's enough reminiscence)
Richard, you say THE SIVER MINE SHARES ARE WORTHLESS???!!!

Yes, 'fraid so, I am sorry that you had to learn about it his way, but look on the bright side, you can play the banjo so you cannot starve, whilst ever you've got a banjo.
Hi, long time, no posting. I just want to say, 'Thank you", for all your positive comments (apart from OH's). He's now hard at work on his next piece so it looks like I'll have to have a new dress if I'm to be part of the occasion! That's if I've not been sold! Richard, if I go he will starve! Anyone want to buy a banjo collection? :)
Dear Mrs. Reallynice,
we all know how banjos have plagued wives for over a century now. The dreadful din of banjos played with impunity ruins the peace and felicity of unbridled domesticity; never was so little magnanimity displayed to lace and dimity.
We would therefore like to offer one (1) banjo removal FREE OF CHARGE. Call now and we will remove all banjos from the premises -- satisfaction guaranteed!
Orders of £100 or more receive our one-time free gift of one (1) porcelain bust of Joe Morley (offer void in Canada and New Zealand).
RNL, if you start knocking about with banjo players you are on the downward slope, don't let the bright lights and flashy clothes fool you, these people are dangerous.
Richard, hey ho, I always fall for the bad guys!
A difficult tune to pull off and you did it, I wasn't a fan of G&B before but I'm converted.
