With thanks to Mark Beresford who posted this on the Cylinders and 78's site. Mark tells us that it it not Ossman playing the banjo, it is Olly Oakley

Not Ossman and not a soprano. Perhaps the repertoire is also not from Bluebell in Fairyland (?)

Although I am a fan of old recordings, I'm not really familiar with the Gaiety Medley and certainly cannot pass an opinion as to whether or not, this is really a recording of "Bluebell in Fairyland". Many of these once famous and very popular light opera offerings have now lost their former lustre and are unlikely to be given a public airing any more. Even things nearer to our time such as 'Showboat' may not make musical sense to any one under the age of 50 or so. Times change and we have to accept that things are not what they used to be.
