Thanks, Jody. I had a herniated disc removed and the L5-S1 joint fused. My lower back looks like I attempted to fight a Wildcat in a phone booth...but I'm pain free.

Rob, this approach may be one of the reasons why I generally prefer to listen to lute players than to classical guitarists.

Absolutely! I went through four years of study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music with not once hearing about strong and weak beats and their relationship to technique. And I've sat through - and played in - many Masterclasses without hearing about it either.
