Well played, Carrie. I like the tone of this fine instrument. Of course it requires a good player to bring out the tone.

Thank you, Jody.  Yes, the banjeaurine has its own charm!

Hi Carrie, that was great performance of a delightful tune, I love the sound of your banjourine, what is its scale length? I've a couple of rarely played banjos and I may have a go at making a banjourine neck and converting one of them...Steve.

Thanks Steve.  The scale length is 48cm wiith 13 frets to the head (which is 12.5 inch).  Funny beast.

Thanks Carrie, it's on my to do list. During lockdown I've built myself a six string lap steel and another cigar box guitar. I'm currently building a 'bedroom' amp for them and with a bit of good fortune, I'll start the banjourine afterwards...Steve.

That's impressive, Steve.  Look forward to your banjeaurine build!  It took a while for me to locate one - it was like hunting for a banjo unicorn!

I just unpacked the remains of a Stewart Imperial Banjeaurine. I have the pot and the tension hoop. Somewhere I have an orphan iron brace too...but I think I may install a full size neck (and not use the boat-anchor brace). I already have a complete IB, so these pieces were bought (years ago) for experimentation.

Nice tune, Carrie, well played!
