A catchy tune by Emile Grimshaw with dangerous earworm potential.

That is a great tune. It must be, as it is going round in my head already. I believe that you say it is easy to play too? It should be on everyone's "to play" list. I will see if I can find the score to add to the MUSIC LIBRARY.
Nice and relaxed playing, thank you Mike, but I agree with what you say and I think that we should issue an:
"Earworm Warning" !!!
Absolutely brilliant - I thought it was Christmas at one point!
Great to listen to . Yes RNL I heard " dashing through the snow " as well. But " Earworm Warning " ???
Sylvia.. please note that this tune will burrow into your mind and will keep returning to haunt you every time you turn over in bed and you will find yourself humming it when least expected :-)
For those who would like to give it a try, I have uploaded the score, with piano part to our MUSIC LIBRARY
As Edgar Allan Poe described it:
It is quite a common thing to be thus annoyed with the ringing in our ears, or rather in our memories, of the burthen of some ordinary song or some unimpressive snatches from an opera. Nor will we be less tormented if the song in itself be good, or the opera air meritorious.
Grimshaw does seem to have a knack for earworm-y tunes; I also had "Lancashire Clogs" stuck in my head for a long time after playing it...
now that is a catchy little tune ,wont get any sleep tonight with this one buzzing in my ear
bravo , Mr knowastheboss ; good choice , this sympathetic _attic ' tune and excellent playing ;
Hi Ian, well it would be nice if something stayed in my mind, not having much success in memorising some of the things I'm practicing, banjo and non banjo :) However will download and have a go at Beat as........ Did try and download Mauna Loa the other day but it didn't come out too well while other print outs were ok before and after , just wondered if anyone else had had a problem.
And Mike, Edgar Allan Poe...... his poem " Annabel Lee "has been put to music, just got a digital copy the other day. He never crosses my path in ages, then twice in one week....
Sounds a bit like "Here Comes Santa Claus" to me :-)
Obviously Grimshaw stole snippets from several popular Christmas songs to use them as a form of subliminal brainwashing ;-)
