Ballad No. 1 - Alfred D. Cammeyer

This is the one of the first pieces by A.D Cammeyer that I wanted to learn and it has taken a long time to get it to this point. Played on a Windsor hollow neck zither banjo.

Check this out.

The Great Bill Evans plays Cammeyer ...check his right hand.

Thanks Ian,

I have seen this video ... it's really great. Still working on my right hand ... trying to find a sweet spot where I am happy with the tone and feel. I am playing closer the bridge than I used to ... this video angle is deceiving. So many little adjustments make a big difference to the tone. I am also trying to hold my hand/fingers a little closer together + make sure I relax :)

you certainly played this particular piece better than Bill Evans did, apart from his odd bum note I thought he rushed it and lost some of the sweetness of the piece, you did great, it was sensitive and beguilingly lovely.
