If he were to design a banjo, that is like an old classic era what would it need? Also sorry for posting twice in the same day

Austin, I currently have a banjo on order from Zach that should be finished by the end of the month. If you can wait until then, I'll do some show-and-tell and discuss the specs.

But if you're asking what makes a good banjo for classic-style playing, I think you need to do some real research before considering a custom instrument. That, and you should be sure that ordering a custom banjo is really a better option than hunting for a vintage one. The latter can be a great learning experience (in terms of troubleshooting and fixing minor problems, setting up the instrument, replacing/cleaning parts). A vintage banjo will generally also retain its value if you decide to sell or trade in the future. A custom instrument with unusual specs loses much of its value the moment it leaves the shop.
