Well here is another new one on me!  I have heard Patrol Comique played by Vess Ossman but have not heard Van Eps play it before.

Perhaps I just missed it, but for those who have missed it too, it is worth a listen!

Patrol Comique played by Fred Van Eps, Edison Records!

This what you get when you have cast iron fingertips ...  I love it   :-)

I have added the score with second banjo and piano to the MUSIC LIBRARY

Well, it inspired me to start TAB on Ossman's version as published by Essex. This is yet another one of those "classic" medleys of old-time tunes jammed together. I wonder why they thought it was "comique"? Some of these (similar medleys) include titles for the individual tunes stuck together, some don't.

Then it is on to "Hoosier Frolics", another Ossman piece...arranged by Mr. van Eps.

Pah. Skip the "Hoosier Frolics", it is a bastardised version of "Fun On The Wabash", shortened to accomodate a 2min recording and renamed for some reason, ulterior or not. Not as much fun as the genuine article.
