A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
Anybody got a copy of this one by SSS? It was #301 in his catalog. I think Turner published an "arrangement" in C. Either would work.
Thanks.

I assume you've been thru my Turner collection that Hal Allert has up on Classicbanjo.com? There's around 24 books (nowhere near being all inclusive). I would guess (SWAG) that it would be in one of the earlier JAT books than a later one.

Yep, no luck, though it seems that I've seen a copy before.
It is always fun to go through the Turner/Ellis stuff. Every time I do I seem to find something of interest.
This time it was this...
I've played though it. I like it. It comes alive with the second banjo. But… what is the deal with the title?
There is no resemblance whatsoever to Lansing's "Darkie's Dream." So what gives?
I mean, Ellis was not shy about ripping off music but here he uses the title and not the (very popular) melody.
Is there a story here?
