Unknown banjo make.

Hi all,  I was brought a banjo to look at by a chap who is thinking of taking lessons with me. The make on the peg head is B&S 'MASTER'  (London and Toronto). It looks like a mass produced joby and needs a bit of work doing to get it into a playable condition. It has a standard type resonator and friction pegs. I would guess it was made in the 1940's or 50's.  It isn't the best quality but is quite well made and should fit the bill once renovated. Does anyone know of this make? I'll post a picture when its finished.....Steve
