A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
I just spotted sitting in my “To Do” box a Notation with Tablature version of the great beginners' solo “The Sunflower Dance”. David Wade sent it to me a few weeks ago and I forgot to upload it… sorry Dave!
For all those new to Classic Banjo and those players who may have forgotten this super catchy tune, check out the MUSIC LIBRARY where it is now available for download.
Now with Tablature so there is no excuse not to have a go :-)
To remind us just how good a banjo solo it is, here is Vess Ossman to play it for us:

I agree, for an easy solo it's one of the best... I'll try to produce a tab version for the 2nd banjo as well, as it really benefits from an accompaniment.
I've had Sunflower Dance up on BHO for a while now, both parts. Here's the 2nd.
Thanks Marc,
It is difficult to keep Tabs ( groan!) on all the music available out there. David produced his TAB for a workshop run by Rob Murch at the Whitby Folk Week here in the UK.
I will add your TAB to the LIBRARY.
Heck, Ian, I can't even keep up with my own TABs. I tabbed out "The Cat Came Back" the other day and when I saved the lot, I found I had tabbed it out about 5 yrs ago in a different key.
I have just finished doing the full orchestral score for "Limited Mail Galop". As soon as I finish checking all the parts, I'll send 'em to you. 1st Bjo, 2nd Bjo, Banjeaurine, Piccolo and Cello.
