The Bugavue Rag (A Genuine Rag Characteristic)..1902..George Wayne Fairman.

This an early rag that seems to have been lost amongst the other great rags of the era. In my opinion it easily stands alongside some of the more popular rags. Fairman was a composer, music publisher and song writer, his most well known and infamous song being C**n*, C**n, C**n.

I've made some minor amendments to make it more suitable for banjo, in particular the chromatic triplets in the 4th part which my 75 years old fingers had an issue with. I've replaced them with chord based triplets which are less of a challenge to play and which I think work well.

I couldn't find a meaning for the title, the nearest being boogaboo which is an imaginary object of fear, neither could I find a title page. The score and midi are in the library...Steve.
