Hello,

I know this isn't a strictly banjo topic, but does anyone know about any modern-made nylon string parlour guitars which would be suitable for the BMG repertoire? I've seen quite a few modern ones but they seem to have been heavily re-interpreted and look heavily biased towards steel strings. I've tried some on a Torres style classical but it doesn't "feel" right. I've also found a guitarist to play duets so I'll have to arrange some 2nd banjo parts to take advantage of the guitar's range.

A student of mine turned up with one of these:

They have nylon and steel versions. I thought it was excellent value for money. And probably cheaper in the USA than the UK.

I must admit it looks very impressive -- with the nice Lacôte-like "smiley" bridge and all! :-)
