O You Sweet Rag...1911...Jimmy Palao (aka James Florestan Palao)

Jimmy Palao was a violinist and leader of The Original Creole Orchestra and it would be easy to envisage this lovely slow paced rag being played on violin. Palao is the fourth person from the left in the attached picture.There are a number of original recordings of this but played at a much faster tempo, none of them are by the OCO. I prefer the slower tempo as per my arrangement.  The piano score was in Bb/F but C/F suited the banjo better.The score and midi are in the library...Steve.
