A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
Calling all Musecore experts! I'm creating an arrangement for "The Tantalizer". Besides the 1st banjo part I've been composing a 2nd banjo part and a part for cello banjo. For the latter I created a mandocello part (because the name was available) and then changed the name to Cello Banjo. But Musescore has "decided" that the two banjo parts are part of the same thing. I am unable to label them separately. The consequence is that I cannot control the volume of each part in playback. At present the second banjo plays back quieter than I want it to. How to I fix this please? See attached screen capture to see the present situation.

I don't know how you built that "double banjo" section. It looks like a piano score where the instrument has been changed to banjo and the bass clef changed to treble (8vb).
I usually create separate staffs for each instrument. Banjo 1, Banjo 2, Banjo 3. Then I alter each to the clef I want. Cello banjo is usually written in the treble clef (15vb actual pitch).
I don't know how I did that either. So how the heck do I change what I've already got? Worst case, I can copy each staff and paste into a new score. But I'd rather be able to fix what I've got without doing that.

I didn't find a way to separate a piano score into two instrument staffs.
Easiest answer. Build a new, proper score and use cut n paste.
OK. thanks I'll do that.
