Hello Everyone,

I have the solo part (both finger and plectrum - only photocopies I'm afraid) for Jazzbo's Holiday and just got a copy of Chris Sands books of Tarrant Bailey Jnr's Banjo Solos (Mel Bay), expecting a piano and possibly (if we were really lucky) a 2nd band or guitar accompaniment part to come with everything.  Sadly they aren't included.  Some great solos, but no music for the accompaniments.

It has tablature (which I'd rather be without - as for me it's totally unnecessary and means there's always more page turns than I want), but no sheet music for any of the accompaniments.

There's also a very enjoyable CD of Chris playing the solos with an accompaniment, but no sheet music for these accompaniments.  A great pity, as I'd have love to use some of these solos and without accompaniments they're only really good for playing at home.

So, I'm just wondering if anyone has the accompaniment part or parts for any of these solos which they could share, but especially Jazzbo's Holiday.  I'd love to play it with accompaniment.  If it can't be found, I might transcribe it off the original 1920s recording, but that will take a lot of work which I'd sooner avoid if possible (and might require some checking regarding copyright and performance royalties).

Hope some one might be able to help or at least has some advice regarding this and other Tarrant Bailey Jnr music.

Many thanks,

Brett Lowe

Hi Brett, I'll take look through the pile of mouldering music later today and see what I can find.

Hello Brett, I have it digitized but will not post here as the current copyright owner, Chris Sands, has been very protective in the past when such things were shared publicly.

friend me and send me a message.
