This is a novelty rag and one of several variations written around Dixie/Old Black Joe but in my opinion, this is one of the better ones. The second part,OBJ, is written as a march/two step which I've arranged as a bass solo and could make a good bass solo practice piece. The piano score is written in D/G, my arrangement is in G/C .
