This is a catchy novelty tune written in the 'oriental' style which was popular at the time. It suits the banjo very well and is a fun piece to play. The staccato passages are an integral part of the composition and as such my suggested fingering avoids, as far as possible, open strings. the score and midi are in the library...Steve.
