Another manifestation of Steve’s Banjo Completism … We’re nearly there!!

Steve has sent me another James Scott Ragtime arrangement that he has produced for Classic Banjo. Yesterday I looked through the score and rapidly suffered from brain overload. The changes of rhythm and syncopation are amazing.

Steve suggested that Scott may have been “on something” when he composed this one. I tend to agree and it should act as a warning to us all to avoid the “whacky baccy” when playing the banjo ;-)

The score and a midi are now in the MUSIC LIBRARY and, for those whose ears need a challenge, here is a piano arrangement:

Thanks again to Ian for proof reading this one for me.It wasn't easy to get this to fit the banjo. Some of the chords and rhythm changes sound very jazz influenced and not what you'd expect to play on banjo. My suggested fingering leans towards the melodic style in  parts as it seemed the best way to move up and down the fingerboard quickly enough. Still, I've made an arrangement of sorts and only two to go.....Steve.
