'And now for something completely different!'.The Suffragette Waltz by James Scott

This one of three waltzes that Scott wrote and it's quite a change from his ragtime music.

It's a pleasant tune  and works well on banjo. I've added comprehensive fingering suggestions as it does jump around a bit in parts and I've leaned towards melodic style by using open strings to facilitate easy movement up and down the fret board. The score amd midi are in the library.....Steve.

Nice tune, Steve, I'll give it a shot when I have time. I might get rid of a few repeats though -- the main chorus is repeated ad nauseam throughout the piece!

(Also, I bet this one would be dead easy to play as a duet!)

Hi Mike, I agree, I was in two minds to shorten it when I did the arrangement but I wanted to keep it  close to the original. The first repeat could be omitted and then it would be about right. I'm working on Valse Venice at the moment, another simple but pleasant tune by Scott. This would leave one more published tune, another watlz called 'Hearts longing' and a couple of songs.......Steve.
