A Stroll Through Cairo (Egyptian Patrol) by J. J. Derwin

Here's an interesting set of dots...a three-pager. I'm attracted to 'orientale' stylings, so 'Cairo' and "Egyptian" caught my eye. Also, the author (J.J. Derwin) isn't known to me...and then I started reading the music. A notation isn't that big of a deal when you're transposing with the computer (Musescore) but when I saw the B part was in 7 sharps...yikes! I guess on the piano, you'd be limited to only the black keys....

I figured that had to be some kind of record (first time I've seen it)...and I had to do it.

So, here it is in C notation, one sharp (Gmaj/Em) with the B part in 4 sharps (Emaj/C#m)...possibly constituting parallel keys (Em v Emaj). The C and D parts all run in a single sharp. I'll post tab tomorrow...

It doesn't appear to be all that tough to play, however, it is, um, 'atmospheric' in nature and runs the dynamic pallet from ppp to FFF...when playing the mp3, keep your mouse on the volume slider if you don't want to wake the house.
