That was pretty cool, Marc. I play in an "old time" group occasionally and "The Flowers of Edinburgh" is a favorite dance tune. I usually just play back up (clawhammer banjo) so I never learnt the solo part. The fiddler plays lead in such groups.

I spent two weeks in East Kilbride about 15yrs ago and got to drive all around northern Scotland one postcard-perfect weekend in May. Only problem was that some Yank-hater forced an Irnbru down my throat upon my arrival...after which I drank nothing but Scotch and Irnbru (supplanted by the occasional dose of Murphy's). I still seem to be attracted to the taste of wrought-iron.
