A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
A very nice common practice classical-style piece by Joe Morley, the ineffable warrior-banjoist of MRDN.
Great playing on both pieces.... but better still.... we can see you now.
My wife and I listened to this piece and were both spellbound. It is a lovely tune and delicately played without the unnecessary rubato sometimes inflicted on pieces like this. First class performance, thank you!!
Sylvia, I agree with everything you say, except possibly the last bit ;-)
Thanks, Sylvia, Ian and Lynn; keeping time on this piece and playing it straight does allow it to be graceful whilst not falling into "tearjerker" territory. I inspired my performance on several of Morley's TB Snr recordings of his quieter pieces.
Well played , Mr JM ( Jike Moss )
Thanks, Mr. JM (Jarc Malmasso)! ;-)
lovely playing again Mike .nice to see you and your fret board . I knew you were not shy .well done
