The inspired work of Mr. Bolsover Gibbs, originally published by S. S. Stewart, 1886. Republished in The 5-Stringer Fall 2018 by Joel Hooks.
That is a goodie and so well played. A delightful little tune that doesn't look TOO difficult on the fingers.
Of course that is easy to say, but we all know that NO Classic Banjo tunes are easy to play ! ;-)
Super stuff! I love the title and can understand it completely after weeks of scanning BMG magazines.
Thanks Ian. And thank you for so generously scanning and uploading the BMGs! Enjoy your well deserved favorite glass of "inspiration"!
At the first (and only) Banjo Collector's Gathering I attended, Carl Anderton and I worked up this and several other "short" duets. We made videos too. Then one of his daughters erased them before he could send 'em to youtube.
Sooooo.... We should work this up and make a video at the next rally! (BTW, it is one of my favorite Gibbs compositions).
Sure! We could do a Gibbs mini-medley...
