Here's an arrangement I've made of this celebrated Jewish folk song for Classic style banjo. It is a bit of an unusual arrangement as it integrates as much of the bass line as the banjo's tuning allows for. This makes it a bit of a finger twister but the complete solo effect is also very rewarding.

The illustration for the video is a statuette found in ancient Israel which depicts someone playing what looks like an early gourd banjo-like instrument.

Interesting choice Mike and nicely done. One unfortunate side effect is that you have set the wife off now. 

Each time I see her she is dancing about singing "Hava nagila, hava nagila
Hava nagila ve-nis'mecha ....  Repeat"

Our house feels a bit like party night on the kibbutz.
