Well done!
Thanks! I´m on the road
keep it up German, your getting better all the time.
Very good indeed. Are you teaching yourself or do you have any lessons?
I think that the banjo sounds much better with nylon strings too. If I had to make any suggestion I would say that you should try not to lift the fingertips too high off the strings when moving between chord shapes. If you try to keep the fingertips as close as you can you will find that when you move onto the faster pieces they will just fall quickly into place. It is a natural tendency to lift the fingers high off the strings and it takes a lot of practice to keep them close!
Try this exercise in alternate fingering until you can do it without even thinking about it. Make sure that you use the fingers shown for picking and you will also develop, automatically, "alternate fingering" too. Try to keep the fingertips as close to the strings as you can when you lift them off. The exercise will speed up your playing as you try more advanced stuff.
Good luck and keep practising!

Hi Alan, thanks!! It´s been amazing to play a banjo.. It was a dream from my childhood
Hi Ian,
Thank you because your advise. I will definitely move to nylon strings, so I am waiting to run out my last set of steel strings. Also, the moisture here in Colombia is a problem because they get rusty too fast!.
Actually, I am learning myself. At the beginning it was hard because I did not know anything about the banjo (only its lovely sound). Also, I did not have any experience with other musical instruments!. However, thanks to this webiste and Rob´s website I discovered the magical world of classical banjo. It´s been an amazing journey!.
Indeed, I know that I have a problem with the lifting, but I am aware that it will take a lot of practice yet!. I know the alternate fingering exercise, and I am enjoyed it since I started few weeks ago.
Therefore, more and more practice in order to share more videos.
Kind regards,
German
