Waiting in for British Gas engineer - boiler has broken down and my webcam is also on the blink so apologies for the poor quality. I really should play the blues...but here is a snappy tune by AJ Weidt that I am (still) learning. Not sure how this tune should sound but hope it is something like this...as usual, the Trio is my downfall.

Well done! I wish I could play thru my mistakes...but I've ingrained the bad habit of stopping and restarting at the tiniest one...makes it really difficult to "carrie on" for me.
As I recall, I start the trio out of a barre 5...can't really remember, will have to dig out a banjo and restart my memory!
Ah yes, thanks Marc, I see you could barr at the 5th and play the A on the 7th fret (4th string). Well, the heating is back on and I am now wrapping presents with classic banjo radio on. A strange Tarrant Bailey Jr tune 'Sunset Motorway'(?) came on to get me in the mood to drive up the M6 for Xmas! (dreaded British motorway that is perma-congested)...
Yes, I loved finally being able to do that barre, really emphasize that G...picking up the A with my ring finger. Once you have it, it looks really impressive (so I've been told).
I'll be driving I-20 east on the 24th (10hr drive) which usually puts me in Atlanta around noon...thankfully, I'll have Miz Diane to take a stint about then! ;-)
Carrie , what string 's gauge do you use ?
Hi Marc, I am using light gauge Chris Sands nylon strings.
you should try fishing line 0,5 / 0,6 /0,7 / Ré de guitare / 0,5
and playing closer from the vellum
good playing
