An early classic banjo solo by the British composer Emile Grimshaw (1880 - 1943).

Very nice playing and nice video production too. You can't beat a bit of Grimshaw, and "At Sunset" is a lovely piece.. if a little over sentimental ;-)
Keep them coming 5***** from me.
Thanks for the kind words. I'll see if I can record a Cammeyer piece one of these days. I like the sentimental ones.
Lovely sound, well played.
Beautiful! I think you set the sentimental dial just right, much more appropriate than the mechanical readings we hear from others. Is that an early Cammeyer banjo?
When much younger, and much more handsome, I even tried to wring some schmaltz out of this piece.
Oh, what fun we banjoists have, when we have a good sense of humour.
Rob, thanks for helping me with the tune, by the way. It is the Cammeyer banjo made by Buckbee.
I discovered the piece through this video. Ron Hinkle also has a nice recording of it on the plectrum.
I really enjoyed this; thanks Gilded Banjo!
