There's no upright piano in this house. Only this one.

It's a ...

You've probably seen these before. Our piano tuner is not too impressed when he comes to tune it - which isn't very often.

It's our link with royalty!

I enjoyed listening to Columbian March. How did you 'make a simple piano part'? Is it easy for you?

Sylvia, have you ever tried recording an accompaniment, on your sax or recorder, to go with your banjo tunes. Would they sound well together, I wonder?

Hi Mrs Nice Lady,  That is some nifty piano that you have there.  It looks really nice.   I have an electric Korg, and a Yamaha Keyboard.  Don't use either very much but not inclined to let them go at the moment.  Did get a keyboard workshop going when I moved down here from the North East that ran for about 6 years.  Our teacher was very good at arranging music for us.

Yes I have thought about recording the second parts to some of the Banjo tunes ( easy ones ) from the Ellis book that OH put into the lessons pages , and I bought a " Tascam " recorder to do the job, it can record two tracks, which would be great.   However, shhhhh don't tell anyone but I havn't yet figured out how to use the ....THING   :)  need to spend some time going through the instruction manual ,  just don't seem to be able to find the time.   I have no doubt at all that a 10 year old could do it , but I'm quite a bit away from being 10.

Next time I visit my family I will take it so that my son in law can explain.  Or perhaps my grandson. bye for now Sylvia.

I note that your piano is " ...as used by the (then) princesses Elixabeth and Margaret"  I can't help but wonder which member(s) of the royual household they used to accompany on the banjo? :-)

It looks like a real gem of an instrument.

" as used .... "   : means in their boats for instance ;

Are the strings crossed in this beautiful 85 ' console ? anyway ; they should be some harmonics however ; do the piano stay in tune ? ; in France / South , most of the old English piano never stay in tune
