Ian, a very nice job on the music library. I can see it filling out your golden years nicely. How would you prefer contributions? In PDF or are you going to convert? You are invited to take the PDF files from the Yahoogroup listserve and add them to your library. You can take any of them for that matter. Maybe if others see how quickly your library is growing, they will contribute as well.

Thank you Hal,

I am glad that you approve of the database. It looks simple and easy, but hides a E-monster behind the scenes, whirring and ratting, processing all the scores and images :-)

I have been rather busy with the database and have neglected my replies...sorry!

I can accept High resolution scans in jpg(not preferred) or TIFF format (this is best), but these are VERY large files so it may cause problems.  PDF files are OK if the original scan is of hi-res and probably easiest to email.

I have had numerous offers of music , but lack of TIME to process it all is the problem !  There are nearly 200 scores  online now and these are basically the pieces which I have in hard copy, but some are  scans from here and there.

I hope that we will also have TAB available soon.. BUT I am very sensitive about Copyright, as infringements are not fair on the copyright holder.

Emile Grimshaw and later Clifford Essex pieces may  still be under copyright so I may not be able to include some tunes, but fortunately Clifford Essex Music Co are producing scores with TAB

CLIFFORD ESSEX SHEET MUSIC

so please do support them if you need a particular score.
