This is the midi piano file ( for Marc & those who would learn the tune ) of the lonely acc for Gypsy love ; from the piano_ arrangment i have done myself ; i am not an expert of the tango ; hope it will be OK .
Tell me if it works and you can successfuly download the file because i had troubles in the past to upload something on the site

I would like to put names on the face of these banjo players , please ;
pictures are from the old movie of the British Pathe where they are playing the pot pourri of marches ( Stars & stripes , W post march , colonel Boogey ) ; the chief is raymond but what is his real name ?
I think the ténor banjo is a Clifford essex but what model & grade ? …

I would like to know if you have an idea about what could be the 2nd number ( back of the head )on some Clifford essex banjos mod " clipper " . ? ?
I have one with this particularity ( the number do not match at all the serial number of the perch pole )

I found this on a BMG ' magazine ( march,1939 )
I guess TB didn 't paid for this banjo , he had it for gift or for a low price . I am curious to know ( a regular 'new paragon is advertised for 28 £ in the same BMG ) what this " de Luxe " could have in extra ?
Where could be this banjo today ? and if numerous one ' s like that leaved the CE ' factory ?…

here ' s a picture of a DSK ' tailpiece ; meaning Dalmasso ' Special Kershner .
The DSK has a double face ; i made it from 2 broken tailpieces ; a Kershner ' one and a Grover .

Extraordinary ; when you open U_Tube , they say " warning , don ' t put on UTube songs if you don 't have the permission .
With our old tunes , no problem , in France at least , the tune become " free " or " public domain after 70 years .
I will add a new "' old "song ( the 5th , i guess ) from the attic , exactly from an old ' magazine . It just need some transcription from the piano to our favorite ' instrument .

I found an interest in the last Marc ' post where he spoke about the factory ' period of his beautiful CE special clad ' banjo ; about 1934 , i can remember .
For sure , it is my own point of view , i discovered by myself that the CE ' serial numbers ( when there is one on the banjo ) are not CE ' brand serial numbers but CE ' models serial numbers ; i hope you will understand what i mean .

I buyed this zyther banjo on e_bay 8 years ago ; beautiful but unfortunatly the seller was a liar and the banjo was totally unplayable because of an up_bow ; i think the mahogany neck was not well seasoned and was strong…
