Oh Wow! What a great photo and one that I have not seen before. Van Eps with the Van Eps "Recording" banjo, I assume.

I made these photos myself in a previous life ; i was a  photograph and a tailor ( rich ) ; i made his suits and i gave him banjo ' lessons ; unfortunatly i cannot play today  at the level i used to do ..

That's a nice banjo. It's smaller than my uncle's garden, but larger than my aunt's pen!

I  guess  size  matters  when  playing  the  banjo;  Mr.  Van  Eps' hands  look  huge.  (Maybe that's  why "Pearl  of  the  Harem"  is  beyond  me.)
