On Saturday, whilst re-fretting one of my banjos, I managed to punch a hole in the end of my right thumb leaving me unable to play until it's healed. With time to spare, I've re-scored this into C tuning for anyone, who like me, who can't transpose in their head!

Thanks for posting these transpositions Steve. They are interesting little tunes ans simple to play too.

ps. I hope the thumb gets better quickly... clumsy  !!!  :-)

I was filing the end of one of the frets and my hand slipped forward and the end of the fret wire went into the end of my thumb..ouch!..it's not too bad now, I can just about get a tune out...The tunes are good exercises for someone who is a beginner or who's learning to sight read...I'll have a trawl through the tutor and sort out a few more when time permits.

It seems like he took many solid themes from the past and put them in a simple, clear, and accessible format allowing a beginner to enjoy it as well.
