As many people are disappointed, because of the lack of ornamentation, when they first see a banjo made by Alfred Weaver, I though his 'mission statement' might be of interest, especially as one of his banjos is currently for sale. This is not an original, but a copy of Weaver's small brochure, made by Eric Rose who was a good banjoist, who died some years ago now. I had an original copy of this brochure but it has disappeared, over the years.

I love this type of victorian/edwardian marketing. "They're great, because I said so!"

Even better when the banjo meets/exceeds the hype!
