String grooves in calluses. These are produced when playing on heavy gauge nylon strings. I was taught that I should develop these calluses to help me to reproduce the dynamic sound and the tone often associated with banjo players as Fred Van Eps, Tarrant Bailey Jnr., William J Ball,et. al.
Honestly you fellas.... bet none of you have gnarled hands as bad as this 'ere housewife.'....... You've really made my night :) ...(Thought )...Perhaps I should have used more " Mild Green Fairly Liquid "
P.S. seriously though , I just don't seem to be able to keep my finger tips as soft as I would like. I have tried all sorts of hand cream without sucess. It 's ok just after I've had my hands in water, I then get the sound I want, however , can't keep on dashing off to put my hands in water can I . can I ?
