Sadly Kyle has produced some self-published books that are jammed with false information. Some of it is laughably bad. In one he claims that the reason people like Stewart referred to cheap factory banjos as "tubs" was because they were made from washtubs. Seriously.
His work has an air of legitimacy due to the fact that he is being paid fairly well to make these books with grant funds. And that is a problem as I expect much of his nonsense will be spouted back at me by people in the future.
