Hi all!

I was thinking, we (meaning thereallyniceman) should make a Facebook page to attract more people.  Banjohangout recently made one and they already have around 5,000 likes and they post stuff regularly.  I think it would be a good plan to attract more of an audience since many people play classic banjo but haven't realised this website exists.  It might also attract younger members (such as myself).  If a Facebook page already exists could someone send me a link to it?  Also (sorry if this is treason or something), it might not be a bad idea to work out something with Banjohangout to get them to advertise our page since they've got such a large audience.  I'm not talking about a paid agreement, sort of a courteous thing (we could do something back to them).  I love this site!

Hi Eric,

Good to hear from you and thank you for the suggestion. We do have a Facebook page here:  https://www.facebook.com/ClassicBanjo

It has a mix of humour and serious Classic Banjo items that link to our site. It does bring people to this site, but we have to remember that Classic Style has a limited audience mainly due to the fact that so few people play the style nowadays.

The trouble with people posting on Facebook is that it may be easier posting there than posting on here... and we want them here!

We have no problem with any banjo site, Banjo Hangout included, so I will have a think about it and thank you again for the comments about our site.

Ian
