The story of Clifford Essex and his troupe of Pierrots is to be broadcast today on BBC Radio 4. This is part 1 of a 3 part series.  I don't know if this is available outside the the UK but here is the BBC iPlayer link:

The program is narrated by site member,Tony Lidington, known by many people as 'Uncle Tacko', leader and founder of The Pierrotters, the last-remaining professional, seaside pierrot troupe in Britain, now in its 27th year of performing.
