The Elite Banjo Instructor by Arling Shaeffer, 1918 w/ 12% Schottisches

Hello Classic Banjo People!

Please find linked the freshly scanned "Elite Banjo Instructor" by Arling Shaeffer.

This is not much of a tutor and more of a collection of compositions and arrangements.  This seems to be a later edition transposed to C notation.

Just for fun, and excluding unnamed exercises and the one song, my clumsy math deduced that this book was 12.7% Schottisches.

I don't know much about Arling but I believe that he was more into mandolins and guitars than the banjo.  Still, there is some fun stuff here.

As always, public domain... do what you want with it... ect..

Notable is his opinion on fingernails.
