Looking to buy a banjo for classic banjo playing.

It’s been a while since I played banjo. Sold them all a while ago. The itch is back and I’ve really fallen in love with the classic banjo sound since I found Aaron Jonah Lewis on YT.

My budget is 6-800, hoping for some recommendations for what to look for in a banjo.

I'll let someone more with more experience chime in but to be honest what you're looking for is probably something vintage, but finding that can be very difficult. I would go for a starter banjo that's around $400 to $500. Deering is the Scientologist company, but if you don't mind that they make good banjos. However you probably want something with a short bridge and nylon strings. Gold tone is the next best around that price range, but waiting for something vintage to show up is probably your best bet
