I have a need to know the final pieces of information that are missing from my banjo knowledge.

 :-)

1) I have been researching performers and composers for the banjo and I wonder if anyone can help me answer this question?

We seem to know the first names of 99.9% of them..   Alfred Farland, Fred van Eps, Frank Lawes, Alfred Cammeyer etc.

...but I can't find anywhere the first names of  A. J. Weidt.

Every reference I can find uses the initials  A.J., except two, but in one he is called Albert and the other Alfred.

Anyone confirm what A. J. really stood for?

2)Also does anyone know what year Alfred Farland toured the UK?

Thanks all !
