For many years only a single issue (no 7) of Fred Bacon's "The Banjoist" was available, but it was being sold on a website by a certain "Musicman" as a locked PDF.
Now I present to the world, entirely free of charge, all 7 issues of Fred Bacon's "The Banjoist". This is in the Public Domain, which means that the "public" (you and me) owns it.
There are no restrictions on what you may or may not do with this.

Thank you for doing this service, Joel.  I was enjoying the magazines' articles and photographs (and heck, even the ads) and was looking over their scores, scrolling through at random, when I suddenly noticed that a half hour had gone by.  It strikes me that the periodicals of the era--moreso than the tutor books--really seem to capture the spirit of the time.

[ magazines were their classic-banjo.ning!? ]

I’ve got boxes with drips and drabs of various BMG mags that I’ll eventually get scanned.  This is all of the Banjoist though.
