Clifford Essex "Weaver" 4th strings...

I ordered the new tutor book not long ago, and I also ordered some of their new heavy "Weaver" banjo 4ths... I changed the dirty old 4th string from my current set of Chris Sands (might soak it in ammonia... works great for classical guitar strings, really lengthens their life) and installed the new 4th with my Chris Sands treble strings... all I can say is, wow! The new string really has that big boom I was looking for, it sounds terrific and goes very well with the Sands. I'll try to record my next song soonish so you can hear the string while it's still fresh.

 

There is nothing like playing the Syncopatin' Shuffle so hard it makes your ears hurt -- ragtime banjo at its best!
