Weekend 21 – 23 June 2013

Elias Sibley teaches Classic Finger-style 5-string Banjo

This course is suitable for both the beginner (with a sound basic knowledge of the instrument and music reading) as well as the more advanced student and will cover, through intensive study, all the main aspects of finger-style banjo playing with particular regard to the following; solo and ensemble playing, interpretation, technical development, fingering, sight reading and practice methods.

This will be achieved through relaxed and friendly classes involving both tutor and group feedback. All sheet music will be provided, however students should provide their own copies of any solo repertoire they would like to present in the classes. The course will culminate in an informal concert featuring some of the solo and ensemble music covered during the course.
